Betty Quick Patrick, 79, of Malvern passed away on November 27, 2014. Betty was born August 1, 1935 to Bernice and William Quick. Betty worked for many years at Douglas Aircraft. She loved to cook good food, shop and grow beautiful flowers in her yard. Her grandkids remember getting in trouble for picking her flowers. Trouble with Betty was something you didn’t want. She was spunky and feisty. She loved her kids and her grandkids with all her heart, but if any of them got out of line, Betty would set them straight in a minute. Betty also loved her dog “Gizzie” who she had for over 16 years.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Frank Patrick; her daughter, Dona Patrick; an infant son, Jimmy; and one grandson, Aaron Barat.
Betty is survived by her son, David Patrick of Malvern; her daughter, Judy (Norberto) Salazar of Malvern; three brothers, Billy (Ruby) Quick of Hot Springs, James (Joy) Quick of Central, AR, and Carroll (Rosa) Quick of Springdale, AR. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Jennifer Mitchell, Trevor Barat, Jessica Stinson, Magon Kratz, Patrick Scott, and Matthew Scott; and 16 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2:30 pm at Fairplay Cemetery with Bro. Mike Sullivan officiating. Pallbearers will be her family and friends that are like family. Visitation will be held at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel from 12-2 prior to the service.
